TO360 PUBLIC ART

Toronto 360 is a public art installation that welcomes visitors from the north east border of the city at the corner of Markham and Steeles. TORONTO, which begins and ends with T-O, is spelled out using only 5 letters, conveying a city of endless possibilities and opportunities. Like the city itself, the installation does not give everything away immediately; rather it slowly reveals its meaning upon closer inspection. Materials: Five powder coated sixteen foot steel channel letters set on a 5 foot concrete plinth.
Conceptual Design: Dean Martin
Fabrication Design and Installation: Steve Richards
